📜 Submission Guidelines – Share Your Folklore

Welcome to The Folklore Archives! We invite you to share your legends, myths, and supernatural encounters. Whether it’s a local ghost story, a generational tale, or a mythical creature sighting, we’d love to hear it!

Before submitting, please review the following guidelines.

✅ What We Accept

Legends, folklore, and ghost stories – True experiences or fictional tales inspired by real myths.
Historical myths and family folklore – Stories passed down through generations.
Supernatural and cryptid encounters – Paranormal experiences or mysterious creatures.
Cultural folklore – Stories from different traditions and backgrounds- from ANYWHERE in the WORLD!

🚫 What We Do NOT Accept

✘ Hate speech, discrimination, or offensive content.
✘ Real-life crimes, personal attacks, or violent material.
✘ NSFW (not safe for work) or explicit content.
✘ Modern conspiracy theories (stick to folklore and myths).
✘ Extremely short posts (see length requirements below).

📝 Submission Requirements

📌 Length:

  • Minimum: 300 words

  • Maximum: 2,000 words (longer stories can be submitted in parts)

📌 Formatting:

  • Use paragraphs for readability.

  • Avoid all-caps or excessive punctuation.

  • Keep storytelling engaging but clear.

📌 Approval Process:

  • All submissions are reviewed before publishing.

  • Minor edits for grammar, clarity, or formatting may be made, but your story’s voice will remain intact.

  • Stories that don’t fit the theme may be declined.

🔍 What Happens After You Submit?

1️⃣ Your submission is reviewed.

We check for readability, formatting, and that it fits within our folklore theme.

2️⃣ If approved, your story is published in The Folklore Archives!

✔ You’ll receive an email notification when it goes live.
✔ Your story will be showcased for visitors to read, discuss, and enjoy.

3️⃣ Readers can comment and interact with your story.

✔ Others may share thoughts, add their own experiences, or ask questions.
✔ You’re welcome to join the discussion!

4️⃣ Featured Stories & Future Projects

✔ Some stories may be highlighted on social media or featured in upcoming projects with your approval.
✔ If your story isn’t approved, we’ll let you know why so you can revise and resubmit.
